No record I've heard before has ever so viscerally embodied art as a form of sense-making. Each and every song on To See the Next Part of the Dream is an expression of desperate and liberating affirmation: the world makes no sense, the future makes no sense, and sure as hell my life makes no sense. If salvation from this anxiety will never come, then the only thing left to do is bite down and declare that even if everything fails, the fact that you're still here means that you haven't lost yet. five_tet

The brain is a fragile thing, and this album captured the ungodly horror of living through its decay. I wouldn't wish dementia on anyone. Listening to this album made me rethink a lot of things for the better, and I highly recommend listening to it despite its intimidating length. Starkle

Absolutely in love with this album. Never thought a 45 minute song would sound so good, but Phil Elverum has surprised me yet again. Incredible work. midastro
